Colton High School, located in the Southeast corner of Washington state near the border of Idaho, has won their 57th straight game to break the state record of consecutive wins. This record was previously held by Kennewick, Lakeside (Seattle) and Central Valley (Spokane Valley).
According to the Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Colton’s 65-37 victory over Grangeville (Idaho) Tuesday moved the Wildcats’ winning streak to 57 games. They are currently 13-0.
They have won the last six 1B state championships with three of those seasons being undefeated seasons.
They would need to win 161 more games in a row to tie Baskin (La.), who won 218 straight between 1947 and 1953 according to the NFHS Record Book.
